This 12-week plan is specifically designed for the 10km distance and tailored to enhance your running skills and fitness. This plan adopts many of the training techniques I personally used in preparation for my major running race. This plan involves a combination of targeted training and technique enhancing drills, which include building a strong aerobic running base, race specific threshold training as well as anaerobic fitness training. With the fitness being established, the second section of the plan focuses pushing the pace by mastering the art of aerobic and tempo type training.
